JOB DUTIES:
|
- Develop and execute strategic plans to improve our plastics supplier quality, delivery, and costs.
- Implement supplier quality engineering procedures, tools, and techniques.
- Manage and support the team to ensure projects are organized, and deadlines are met.
- Develops team to manage daily supplier quality activities by leveraging knowledge of the supplier quality engineering professional, including quality systems, technologies, and statistical tools.
- Develop supplier's capabilities of manufacturing for consistent and repeatable quality, such as step-by-step SOP or BKM, risk analysis and mitigation.
- Work with key suppliers to develop a lean culture that drives continuous improvement in quality, delivery and cost
- Manage new supplier qualification and alternate material qualification.
- Conducts and leads the team on Supplier quality audits & tooling audits.
- Lead transfer of product lines, tool transfers, equipment transfers, both internal and external.
- Risk mitigation of critical components and suppliers.
- Lead & mentor teams in achieving productivity targets, process standardization and best practices.
- Develop innovative manufacturing processes & solutions to reduce costs and improve product quality.
- Implement material testing and material flow analysis.
- Provide NPI support and lead design for manufacturing initiatives while always embracing a customer first approach.
- Establish partnerships with internal and external resources.
- Support and guide the team on customer complaint resolutions.
- Establish application testing protocol and processes to quantify product performance capabilities.
- Manage day-to-day operational measuring and monitoring of projects and scope.
- Communicate project status and escalate/resolve issues that impede deliverables in a timely manner.
- Ensure that action item owners are managing recovery plans as applicable when commitments are missed.
- Provide weekly product development status meetings identifying project phase, tasks completed and project specs.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Assure project legal documents are completed and signed as applicable.
- Identifies department targets and objectives.
- Develop an understanding of the products.
- Comply with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
|
- 15+ years’ experience in supplier process development, productivity and cost savings strategies in a diversified manufacturing/distribution environment.
- Must have experience in plastics manufacturing environment

SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
|
- Leadership capabilities including driving accountability of team members and suppliers.
- Ability to develop process improvements particularly with manufacturing of plastic parts.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently and complete deadlines on time.
- Strong project management skills and able to lead cross-functional teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external parties of all levels of an organization, especially Suppliers and Customers.
- Understand how to communicate company sensitive information tactfully.
- Problem solving skills including root cause analysis.
- Hands-on leader with good attention to detail.
- BA/BS in Engineering or related field.

Work Arrangement : Onsite
Salary Range : $125,000.00 - $150,000.00
