We are currently seeking a Global Fleet Manager who oversees the growth and execution for our fleet operations core goals and initiatives. Manages operations of a global fleet based and operating in multiple global locations. Ensures the efficient, productive, and safe operation of this fleet. Supports Operating Companies (OPCOs) in their fleet and fuel management program needs. Collaborates with OPCOs and other departments in the organization to implement and manage the fleet program, and support parts, maintenance, and fuel programs to ensure efficiencies are achieved, maintained, and continuously improved.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for APi vehicle assignment, allocations, forecasts, and inventories working closely with and supporting the OPCOs in developing and executing the strategy and operational plans to ensure world class fleet management and accountability. Manage the company's ordering and support of fleet vehicles. Including maintenance, repairs, registration, and insurance requirements to ensure they are available, safe, dependable, and presentable for OPCO work.
- Work closely with OPCO’s to understand their transportation needs and develop solutions to meet those needs effectively.
- Partner with OPCOs and assist in managing Upfit of vehicles, to include graphics and racking/storage.
- Facilitates proper documentation from the OEMs, truck sellers, Fleet Management Company and OPCOs to ensure smooth onboarding, management, and registration processes.
- Manage relationships with Fleet Management Company and vehicle OEMs to ensure timely and cost-effective vehicle ordering, maintenance, and repair services.
- Maintains an accurate accountability of APi Group’s fleet licensure and registration process requirements by class of vehicle. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to fleet operations, including licensing, registration, and inspections.
Works closely with Corporate Risk and Safety teams and insurance carriers to support, develop, implement, and improve programs impacting fleet and driver safety, including telematics and safety devices.
Develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures, including vehicle utilization, and fuel management; provides guidance to resolve technical problems.
- Analyze the Fleet processes, detect possible bottlenecks, and develop proposals to optimize them.
- Ensures compliance and administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and government regulations, etc. for the successful management of the programs.
Expense Management and Control
- Negotiate and manage the fleet manufacturer, fleet management, telematics, safety devices, and fuel suppliers (long term) contracts.
- Lead strategic sourcing projects, including all key steps such as strategy development, supplier negotiation, award recommendations, business case presentations and supplier contract execution.
- Monitor fleet performance and develop strategic category plans that identify cost/productivity improvement opportunities in spending across the fleet and logistics categories.
- The capacity to strategically and effectively manage all elements of the interaction and collaboration, performance, risk and innovation, with third-party providers.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date fleet management records and reports, including vehicle inventory, maintenance schedules, and fuel usage
- Manages the vehicle end of life process and financial impact.
- Conducts continuous analysis of vehicles and usage to increase efficiency and to lower costs.
- Manage and maintain tracking systems (ex. Holman Insights, Voyager Fuel, Samsara) and other systems as required to develop programs and execute performance targets for the fleet.
- Develop and implement standard operational standards to maintain vehicles by advocating best practices in industry.
- Understand financial impacts, develop KPI's and budget analysis for fleet operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of experience in fleet management, preferably in a service company setting, across diverse geographies (global preferred), and varied vehicle use types.
- Experience with fleet programs, including sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure, a high sense of urgency and ability to influence for results is essential.
- Strong accountability, proactive planner, and organizer. Additionally, the candidate should be proficient in planning, managing projects, stakeholder engagement, and business analysis.
- The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, specifically in communications across a multi-national and matrixed organization.

Benefits and Compensation:
This role will be eligible for hybrid work flexibility based out of our New Brighton office. The pay range is $103,500 - $155,800, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for annual bonus and profit sharing based on company performance in addition to other benefits that support the total well-being of you and your family.
