The Invoice Processing Manager provides enterprise oversight of supplier invoice intake and processing within the Procure to Pay (PTP) function, with end-to-end accountability for the timely, accurate, and compliant validation, coding, and posting of invoices in alignment with enterprise disbursement schedules, service level commitments, and working capital objectives.
The role defines and executes the operational strategy for Invoice Processing across Accounts Payable (AP), overseeing multi-channel invoice intake, workflow routing, exception management, and various ERP processing for both PO and non-PO transactions, while ensuring adherence to enterprise policies, contractual terms, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
The Manager drives throughput, cycle time, first pass yield, and accuracy performance by identifying and resolving operational and system bottlenecks, strengthening upstream master data and purchase order integrity, reducing exceptions and rework, and reinforcing disciplined process execution. Leveraging data, analytics, and defined PTP performance metrics, the role monitors invoice volumes, aging, backlog, service levels, exception trends, and compliance adherence, translating insights and benchmarking into capacity planning, resource allocation, and targeted continuous improvement initiatives, while advising senior leadership on material risks, control gaps, and remediation actions.
A core accountability is the enforcement of governance frameworks that promote transparency, audit readiness, segregation of duties, and payment accuracy, including active support of internal and external audits and controls testing.
The Manager partners closely with Vendor Inquiries, Payments, Banking & Supplier Maintenance, Supply Chain, IT, and Business Area stakeholders to ensure seamless handoffs, timely issue resolution, and alignment of invoice processing strategy with broader GFS objectives and PTP transformation priorities.
In addition, the role leads and develops a large team of Supervisors, and staff, establishing clear performance expectations and fostering accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. The role also provides strategic leadership in workforce planning and talent management, proactively identifying organizational gaps, addressing performance and employee relations issues in partnership with HR, and developing talent through coaching, succession planning, and strategic placement and promotion of high-potential employees. This includes building a cohesive, well-aligned, and high-performing organization with the right capabilities, leadership structure, and resources to meet evolving business needs, while advancing automation, standardization, and technology enablement initiatives that enhance productivity, service quality, compliance integrity, and enterprise financial control outcomes.
