What you’ll be doing...
The Artificial Intelligence & Data (AI&D) Organization is an exciting center of excellence supporting all of Verizon. Our team will be a catalyst to Verizon's future in creating networks that move the world forward through the power of Artificial Intelligence & Data.
You will be a strategic thinker joining a high profile, high visibility team that powers analytics and strategic thinking for Verizon. The Market and Network Intelligence team focuses on using competitive intelligence and network data to enable decision making and drive insights into the business. You will be part of the team that builds tools, analyses and visualizations that enable business insights and recommendations to improve Verizon’s performance.
Performing ad-hoc analysis and developing reproducible analytical approaches to provide insight into network performance and market performance
Performing exploratory and targeted data analyses using descriptive statistics and other methods
Performing geospatial analyses and creating geospatial visualizations
Storytelling with data to effectively communicate the analytical insights you discover and the implications to the business
Presenting results and recommendations to management and business users
Identifying opportunities to use market and network intelligence to drive process improvements and changes
In this hybrid full time position, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or 2 or more years of work experience in telecom or related industries
Experience in applying statistical ideas and methods to data sets to answer business problems
Basic understanding of programming languages such as SQL and Python and visualization tools like Tableau
Self-starter who can quickly learn new products from scratch and identify their key differentiators
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
MBA or similar
Telecoms industry knowledge in areas such as wireless, cable, mobile devices and broadband
Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced and unstructured environments
Experience in applying statistical ideas and methods to data sets to answer business problems
Ability to quickly learn, apply new tools, and build technical acumen
Experience with geospatial analytics and/or visualization
Experience with data science and statistical concepts like regression, correlation, statistical significance, sampling methods, etc.
Experience with developing insights, presenting, and influencing strategic decisions using data
Basic understanding of 4G LTE/5G Network technologies or experience with RF/System Performance tools
Experience with Google Cloud Platform
Experience with Alteryx or similar ETL/geospatial tools
Experience with visual science / dashboard design

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $69,000.00 and $127,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
