Title:
Program Manager
KORD is seeking a Program Manager to support large ($300M+) Government contract in the Huntsville Alabama Area.
- The Program Manager shall support the Operating Unit (OU) Director in providing program management capability and professional business relations to manage all internal and external tasks associated with the effort.
- As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of a technical program, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within scope and budget.
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, engineers, and subject matter experts, to ensure that the client's requirements and expectations are consistently exceeded.
- Given the high expectations of the customer, the role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage under pressure while maintaining quality and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall project management, business management and financial reporting, and provide deliverables as identified in the Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL).
- Accomplish the assigned work by employing and utilizing qualified personnel with the appropriate combination of education, training and experience; matching personnel skills to the work required; and ensuring the labor categories, labor rates and man-hours utilized in the performance meet contract requirements.
- Provide the staff as defined in the Staffing Plan to ensure the performance of work in accordance with sound and efficient management practices.
- Provide accurate and timely schedule and performance information Prepare and deliver status reports to the Government and KBR leadership.
- Manage traceability of all man-hours and cost reimbursable elements (travel, supplies/materials)
- Provide appropriate, flexible, and dynamic support in response to mission demands and changes in technology and technical requirements.
- Identify shortfalls within mission scope, capabilities, or skillsets and propose innovative solutions to address these shortfalls, to include leveraging training opportunities, technology acquisition, partnering, or others; provide analysis of alternatives for solutions including costs, expected gains and outcomes.
- Ensure timely processing of work requirements as well as tracking of work in progress.
- Establish and maintain an electronic record of program information in government specified formats during the period of contract performance.
- Manage disbursement activities including payment of contractors, procurement actions, review and approval of Material Requests, and analysis of monthly invoicing statements along with payment of monthly bills related to the contract.
- Attending Government directed meetings and providing recommendation(s) & insight as it applies to each particular meeting and area of responsibility.
- Support Business Development teams in the preparation of proposals
Qualifications:
- Requires a technical or business degree: 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD
- 15 to 20 years of direct experience in lieu of formal degree.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Experience managing OTA and both CPFF and FFP contracts.
- Demonstrated industry success in managing all aspects of a contract larger than $250M
- Proven track record of managing complex projects with demanding customer
- Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage challenging client and subcontract relationships
- Demonstrated experience and success building and administering successful staffing plans for diverse customer requirements.
- Experience and/or expertise in a Research and Development (R&D) and Test & Evaluation (T&E) environment.
- Experience in a rapid acquisition development projects
- Army Fires, C-RAM or C-UAS Community knowledge and work history
- Excellent communication skills, multi-task and lead several projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience leading successful project transition from prototype to sustainment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional technical teams.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello).
- Experience with risk and issue management, financial tracking, and change management.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.
