Under direction, is responsible for performing technical level work assisting child care providers with various child care services or needs and establishing and maintaining a supportive relationship with the child care community. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment. Exercises direct supervision over assigned staff.
This position is a "grant funded" position, therefore unclassified and has no disciplinary appeal rights to the Municipal Civil Service Commission. This position is likewise subject to at-will employment status and can be terminated at any time for any reason.

- Supervises, trains, and evaluates assigned staff.
- Monitors and provides technical assistance to ensure adherence to applicable policies, procedures, regulations, standards, and guidelines.
- Addresses non-compliance.
- Recommends additional training to improve skills or services.
- Establishes and maintains effective communications with providers, clients, State agencies, and various other applicable organizations.
- Remains current on all applicable regulations, manuals, guidelines, and standards.
- Informs providers of program goals, objectives, and requirements.
- Tracks and provides technical assistance and training.
- Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Two (2) years' experience in Business, Child Development, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications- Knowledgeable of The Workforce Information System in Texas (TWIST) data system.
- Knowledgeable of eligibility determination and calculations.
- Knowledgeable of electronic filing system.
- Experience working with community and providing customer service in reference to policies and procedures.
- Bilingual.

- Unless otherwise stated, applicants are permitted to substitute two years of related full-time experience for one year of higher education or one year of related higher education for two years of experience in order to meet the minimum requirements of the job. One year of full-time experience is defined as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months. One year of higher education is defined as 30 credit hours completed at an accredited college or university.
