Position: Computing Architect
Location: Boeing Digital Solutions, Inc. (d/b/a Jeppesen), Englewood, CO
Job Duties:
Define, design, and verify requirements to develop integrated aviation software and solutions. Establish initial design constraints and ensure architecture conforms to requirements. Incorporate architecture functions into the software development lifecycle. Develop and configure information management systems, components, models, and architecture views. Assess the feasibility of architecture solutions and alternatives. Review data and perform trade-off analyses. Evaluate product suitability for integration into delivery system environments. Draft service standards for information management products. Assess the impact of architectural decisions on the product lifecycle. Contribute to architecture and data/information management standards and strategies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, and 9 years of related work experience, of which 5 years are progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a master's degree or foreign equivalent in Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, and 7 years of related work experience.
Must have 7 years of experience in each of the following:
• Leading software development teams;
• Utilizing Ansible and Jenkins;
• Architecting, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting solutions in Azure and AWS using CloudFormation and Azure Resource Manager;
• Leading architecture definition with a focus on cloud security for web services and web-based applications;
• Troubleshooting performance issues and implementing improvements in Unix and Windows Operating Systems;
• Writing Python and Bash scripts to automate deployment tasks and improve security monitoring;
• Designing, implementing, and administrating databases using Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL;
• Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines on public cloud platforms including AWS Pipelines and Azure Pipelines;
• Deploying and developing microservices, automation pipelines, and cloud environments;
• Designing composable architectures, micro-frontends, or RESTful architecture specifications, including OpenAPI; and
• Utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm to implement service mesh.
Must have 4 years of experience in using flight scheduling data, flight planning data, maintenance scheduling data, maintenance planning data, and maintenance history data to build complex aviation capabilities.
Domestic travel required up to 5%.

Pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, the offered wage for this role is $153,499 per year.
