Your Impact
The Principal Accountant for Income Tax, Payroll Tax and Licensing is primarily responsible for supporting the Manager of Tax with the coordination, facilitation and completion of assigned tasks related to various licensing and tax compliance to ensure that Lowe’s remains compliant in all applicable jurisdictions. The incumbent will also assist with the review and approval of payments relating to tax filings for Lowe’s entities.
This will require communication with various departments within the company to gather required information. Position requires obtaining and analyzing information used in the return remittances as well as utilizing various tax reporting tools that provide guidance on filings to understand any pertinent updates that may impact those filings. The position also requires effective communication skills and the ability to converse with taxing jurisdictions as well as internal business partners and outside consultants.
What You Will Do
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings for various jurisdictions.
Account reconciliations for various tax types
Aid in licensing procedures
Maintain tax calendar for assigned projects and ensure all assignments are timely completed.
Communicates effectively within the team, across other functions, and with external parties.
Collaborate on special projects and resolution of issues including notices and audit processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
Intermediate to Advanced skills in MS office programs (Excel, Word, Access)
Preferred Qualifications
Lowe's finance or accounting experience
4+ years’ experience in Tax (public or private)
Knowledge/skills working with various tax compliance tools.

Pay Range: $81,200.00 - $135,400.00 annually Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
