THE WORKTraining System Instructor Console Operator (Flight Simulation Trainer Stf) for the F-35B/C supporting the USMC at MCAS Cherry Point.
Candidate will facilitate pilot instruction using the Full Mission Simulators (FMS). The Console Operator will
procedures, simulation, and/or flight training. Conducts instructional sessions, briefings, follow-ups, and proficiency checks on flight simulators in accordance with federal air regulations and company policies and procedures. Evaluates trainee progress and recommends qualification or additional training. Reviews simulator design and training effectiveness to provide maximum proficiency. Coordinates utilization schedules for training flight crews and necessary engineering support. Background in piloting. Exclude line pilots.
Candidate will facilitate pilot instruction using the Full Mission Simulators (FMS). The Console Operator will operate Instructor Operating Stations (IOS) supporting mission planning, pilot training execution and mission debrief. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin training teams on site to fulfill F-35 training objectives. The candidate will implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies, as directed.
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) access.
Deployment is contingent upon successful completion of the OJT required at Lockheed Martin's training locations prior to international assignment.
The selected applicant selected may be required to work rotating shifts, and work in excess of 40 hours per week.

Basic Qualifications:Candidate must have a current final secret security clearance with investigation within 5 years.
Candidate must be able to maintain Special Program Access Clearance (PAR).
Strong systems engineering or technical background. Willingness to travel to support mission requirements.
Candidate must have worked in an environment which required them to interact with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature.
Use of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) is required.
Candidate must have outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent leadership traits, strong oral & written communication abilities, solid ability to organize, and a high desire to provide customer satisfaction.
Candidate must be willing to support flexible work hours to align with customer operational schedule.
Desired Skills:Experience interfacing with customer at military
locations.
Experience with F-35 pilot training curriculum.
Familiarity with F-35 program requirements.
F-35 system knowledge.
F-35 Full Mission Simulator experience.
Familiarity with the F-35 ALIS program.
Currently possess F-35 Program special access.
Relevant tactical experience in related skillsets (i.e. Air Controller, JTAC, etc.)

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
