DJBOSS: Manager Logistics
Job Summary
Under broad direction, to provide Operations and Administrative support to the Director of Mission Capability. Advises and instructs work efforts associated with services required within the Base Operations Support contract to meet the contractual performance objectives and standards to include planning, scheduling, cost, accounting, estimating, report development and preparation, establishing and maintaining records, and quality assurance. Provided the necessary management expertise to assure performance objectives and standards are met and to ensure all administrative deliveries of internal and external information, performance and communications are complete and submitted on time.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provides guidance in support of maintenance and repair of facilities, systems, and infrastructure components.
- Provides Billeting oversight for the management and maintenance of temporary or permanent living quarters for clients and other civilian contractors.
- Ensures all activities comply with proper maintenance, inventory control, safety, and cleanliness standards for all assets assigned.
- Manages the efforts of personnel involved in providing a variety of support to programs involved with Billeting, Supply, Property, Transportation, and Disposal, Morale/Welfare and other Logistical support areas.
- Insures awareness and monitors employee compliance with all applicable company directives, policies, and procedures
- Provides operational oversight to ensure work is accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner and provides reports to senior leadership as required
- Demonstrate knowledge in facility management, work prioritization, project management, and supervision of mixed labor force
- Responsible for the overall performance of the assigned department or functions
- Validate contractually required standards for project execution and verify that those standards are met for every deliverable.
- Align quality management function with product/service performance needs to ensure that product/service lines deliver value to customers.
- Responsible for defining training requirements, developing employee skills, and promoting continuous improvement.
- Develops and implements performance standards and internal controls and solve complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and value-added practices.
- Using experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes.
- Provide guidance to less experienced team members across all levels of the project, as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 -10 years of Logistics/ Operations related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with the implementation of corrective and preventive action programs.
- Organizational skills, record keeping and multi-tasking ability.
- Customer service and relationship-building.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with multiple interruptions/distractions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Excellent customer relations, communication, leadership, and inter-personal skills
- Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity and with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
- Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
- A minimum of five years’ experience in the quality control field is required.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Operational management or experience in O&M services including HVAC systems, Electrical, Power Generation, Plumbing, Carpentry, Water and Ice production, Vector Control, Custodial services and labor management.
- Familiar with KBR internal programs such as MAXIMO and Asset Management
