As a Supply Planning Specialist, you will join Microsoft’s Supply Chain Operations Rotation Experience (SCORE), a Cloud Supply Chain Rotation Program designed for early in career, future supply chain professionals. The program is comprised of three, one-year rotations across key organizational pillars. Each of the three rotations will provide a diverse set of experiences and opportunities for meaningful contribution to the business. The Cloud Supply Chain group is responsible for planning, delivery and provisioning of all data centers globally powering Microsoft Cloud properties.

- Learns planning process for raw materials for the building of products or goods. Begins to facilitate process transitioning simple old products to new products while avoiding materials stranded and yield and binning issues. Informs quantity of materials needed for last time buy decisions to help ensure goods can continue to be made.
- Uses tools and processes for managing supply and driving improvements to avoid additional labor needs, while gaining a foundational understanding of these tools and processes.
- Performs tactical elements of supply plan, including understanding the part level gaps between demand and supply.
- Conducts analysis and gathers information for ""what-if"" scenarios impacting supply and demand management for forward and reverse planning.
- Reports progress of demand and supply adjustments and results. Uses dashboards to visualize and present supply-chain analysis and metrics.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain/Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field (or currently pursuing).
- OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with global materials life-cycle management (development, launch, sustaining and end of life) and start-up/shut-down process management preferred.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning, material management systems and implementations a plus.
- Ability to analyze, explain, and draw conclusions based on complex data from multiple content areas.
Supply Planning IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $66,900 - $119,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $89,600 - $134,400 per year.
