Job Summary
Manage the accounting and SOX process compliance for the Inventory and Accounts Payable functions. Provide internal and external support for Procure to Pay functions, primarily the Accounts Payable support functions, and project testing and implementation.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities
- Inventory accounting and SOX controls
- AP accounting and SOX controls
- Prepare account reconciliations and related journal entries
- Satellite feed admin/SOX process owner
- Account variance explanations and obsolete inventory reserve analysis
- SOX Process Narrative updates
- SAP implementation
- Other project implementations
- Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager
Qualifications –
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree from an accredited institution
- 3 or more years of experience in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or CPA
- 5 or more years of experience in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of corporate financial principles and practices
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of accounting systems/software
- Knowledge of SOX regulatory standards
- Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to manage projects and work independently
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Well spoken-exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- Strong managerial skills with strategic focus
- Aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative solutions
- Ability to analyze complex business issues and make sound decisions
