This role of senior scientist is focused on the development of new products and formulas to meet the needs of consumers and customers. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of chemistry to help develop and execute novel technical solutions. The candidate should possess strong communication skills to interface multifunctionally and to translate consumer needs into new commercial products. The job will involve practical laboratory work including the planning and execution of laboratory experiments, measurement of product properties, stability, and performance.
Key Tasks:
- Product Development and Formulation: Understand material structure–function relationships and develop prototype products based on desired performance requirements.
- Experimental Design and Laboratory Testing: Design and conduct experiments, develop screening methods, evaluate product performance, and ensure accurate testing and data collection.
- Data Analysis and Technical Reporting: Interpret experimental results, draw conclusions, recommend development strategies, compare competitive products, and report progress or issues promptly.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Project Management: Coordinate with R&D, packaging, manufacturing, safety, regulatory, and process development teams to ensure timely completion of tasks and successful product commercialization.
- Innovation, Documentation, and Laboratory Safety: Follow the innovation process and standard operating procedures, develop demonstrations and proof-of-concept methods, maintain laboratory records and equipment, and ensure a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
