The Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure and Engineering Team establishes and maintains the technology infrastructure and application support services required by our analysts to deliver timely, objective, and cost-effective analysis. We design, develop, and deploy hardware- and software-based solutions in close coordination with SPA’s client-facing groups all while implementing the necessary measures to ensure network security and protect customer data.
SPA has an immediate need for a Systems Administrator to support our corporate infrastructure applications and services.
Responsibilities:
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for installation, configuration and support of servers, operating systems, cloud resources and databases. Responsibilities include building, installing and configuring physical and virtual servers; deploying and testing operating system updates, application troubleshooting, performance tuning and monitoring; developing sever and application maintenance procedures; documenting system architectures; managing endpoints using Microsoft Intune.; assisting in the administration of enterprise-wide applications such as Microsoft 365 and SharePoint in an Active Directory /Azure hybrid environment; applying foundational knowledge of data center hardware and networking technologies as they relate to application functionality to resolve complex technical issues; interfacing with vendors to troubleshoot and repair equipment; and other duties as assigned. This position also requires the ability to communicate ideas, issues, technical solutions, and processes clearly to both junior- and senior-level colleagues.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical discipline (may substitute with a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience).
- Five or more years of system administration experience with Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022) operating systems and in-depth knowledge of Active Directory, MS Entra ID, and Group Policy.
- Three (3) or more years of experience managing Microsoft enterprise applications such as Microsoft 365, Intune, Exchange, SharePoint, and other supporting technologies.
- Three (3) more years of experience supporting a hybrid Azure / on-premises environment.
- At least (1) year experience working and maintaining enterprise center class compute, storage solutions, and networking components.
- Three (3) years of experience deploying and maintaining a private cloud using platforms such as Hyper-V, and/or VMWare.
- Ability to lead projects, self-manage time, and work both independently with minimal oversight and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must be eligible to obtain or have active DoD SECRET clearance and must maintain clearance while employed with SPA.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience managing and monitoring endpoints with Microsoft Azure Intune
- Some experience with managing and configuring Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as CMMC, NIST or FISMA.
- Ability to think abstractly, solve complex problems, and automate tasks using in common scripting languages such as PowerShell.
- DoD approved 8570 certification(s) for IAT/IAM Level II. Acceptable certifications include (but are not limited to) the following: CCNA Security, SySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CAP, CASP CE, CISM, CISSP, GSLC.
