We are an independent contractor for FedEx Ground. As we continue to build our team to meet the evolving needs of E-Commerce, we are seeking EXPERIENCED and reliable drivers to operate step-van style trucks. Who will provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages in the Humboldt, TN and Dothan, AL areas. WEEKLY PAYCHECKS and Healthcare Insurance available after 90 days.
CDL License is NOT required! Our FedEx Ground company is looking for people who have been Route/Delivery Drivers.
Position Type: Full Time/Contract
Location: Alabama
Schedule: Monday-Saturday (weekends as needed)
Work Hours: 7:30am - Delivery completion
Pay: $157/daily plus $1.30/stop daily.
Delivery Driver Responsibilities:
- MUST HAVE PROFESSIONAL DELIVERY EXPERIENCE
- Previous FedEx delivery driver experience required.
- Arrive at the terminal to pick up vehicle and packages, at 7:30am and deliver until completion.
- Handle and deliver packages in a safe and timely manner from the warehouse to assigned routes
- Pickup packages are delivered in the designated pick up windows
- Be able to drive and operate a 16 foot box truck.
- Make the commute to the FedEx terminal, we are currently servicing Tennessee and Alabama.
Delivery Driver Qualifications:
- Must have qualifiable package delivery experience
- Must be able to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR)
- Must be 21 years or older
- Physically able to handle packages up to 150lbs. with the help of a dolly
- This is a physical job and requires that the driver gets in and out of the truck upwards of 150 times in a shift
- The ability to locate addresses using GPS and/or maps is a must and a good general knowledge of our service area which includes the Humboldt, TN and Dothan, AL areas
Pay & Benefits:
- $157/daily + $1.30/stop
- Health Insurance with QualChoice after 90 days. We pay 50% for the employee!
