Duties:
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer or delivery van to transport goods to various locations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers
- Collect payments or obtain signatures from customers as required
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
Note: Experience with tractor-trailers is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for qualified candidates.
