Dover Precision Components is hiring a Service Center Leader- Aftermarket Repair for our Cook Compression brand. We deliver performance- critical solutions for rotating and reciprocating machinery across several markets, including oil & gas.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
In this role, you will develop a vision and lead the Service Center facility by directing the day-to-day operations, managing productivity, and providing leadership and training in operational areas. You will work closely with other functional areas to implement Lean Manufacturing techniques. This position has the responsibility to coordinate resources across a broad spectrum of internal and external operations to deliver superior products and quality service in a fast-paced environment that meets or exceeds our customers’ requirements. Responsibilities include:
- Manage productivity, delivery, and production quality while ensuring safety
- Evaluate the resource needs of the operation, including reviewing work schedules, overtime needs, determining priorities, hiring, promoting, and/or addressing performance of employees
- Evaluate and make the necessary adjustments to the operation by reviewing the P&L statements; and daily reports such as SRO, Line, Job, Attendance, Inventory, Purchase Order, Direct Labor and Sales Reports
- Maintain and update Value Stream boards
- Set Service Center policies and procedures in line with company directives, policies, and procedures
- Comply with all Federal, State, and Local labor laws, environmental regulations, OSHA compliance and City ordinances
- Maintain facility and equipment to ensure proper working order
- Provide accurate manning budget, operating expense budget and capital expenditure budget
- Purchase supplies, tooling, material and inventory
- Check on work in progress to ensure meeting of quality standards
- Assist with the resolution of CARs and NCMRs as necessary
- Cross-train employees in the office and shops, and implement a succession plan for key employees
- Oversee and review purchasing, SRO and job entry, pricing, quotes, estimates, and quality issues
- Provide accurate and necessary information required to complete capital justifications
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- BA or BS in Engineering, Management, Business or related field, or equivalent years of experience supervising manufacturing operations
- 3+ years’ people supervision experience
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to promote a positive atmosphere and encourage teamwork in the workplace; ability to communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, employees and executive management
- Strong MS Office and computer skills, including preparing PowerPoint presentations and analyses in Excel
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organizational structure
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities
- Ability to understand financial information

- ERP system experience, including Syteline or Infor
- Experience with manual machining process, metrology, including calipers and micrometers
