The main purpose of the Driver Pay Process and Audit Specialist (AKA Payroll & Audit Specialist) is to process information received from trip envelopes sent in by drivers, research payroll issues, audit automated processes and reports to ensure driver payroll and owner operator settlements are as accurate as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Process trip envelopes, including inputting trips into the system for pay, researching missing information and problems, and processing reimbursements for drivers.
- Auditing and processing reimbursements and extra pay for drivers through the retention pay
- Auditing envelopes processed by the automated payroll process for errors.
- Reviewing, printing and mailing of all driver and owner operator pay checks and settlements on a weekly basis.
- Review key payroll reports during payroll and settlement processing to ensure drivers and owner operators are paid correctly.
- Perform data input, and other duties for the toll and permit departments as needed.
- Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift as determined by supervisory personnel.
Qualifications:
- Skill in operating a PC computer terminal.
- Alphanumeric data entry skills of 6,000 to 7,000 kph.
- High school graduate or equivalent experience.
- One to two years data entry and general clerical experience preferred.
- Six months to one year mid-range AS400 and PC experience preferred.
