Job Summary:
The Staff Attorney I will perform delegated legal tasks for more senior attorneys of the CareSource Legal team, which may include, but are not limited to, those tasks essential responsibilities and functions listed below.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in litigation related activities including, active litigations, State Fair Hearings, subpoena responses, records request, attorney demands, and provider complaints.
- Assist in employment matters including, counsel and advice, responding to administrative charges, policy development, and ensuring compliance with state and local laws.
- Provide support in other practice areas, as needed.
- Perform legal research and prepare legal memorandums for business partners and legal team.
- Review and revise company policies, procedures, and other internal corporate documents.
- Attend legal and business meetings at the direction of other lawyers on the CareSource legal team.
- Perform other job duties as requested.
Education and Experience:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited college/university is required.
- One (1) year of practicing law at a law firm or in-house corporate environment is preferred. However, an exceptional law school graduate with practical experience could be considered.
- Experience or interest in employment, litigation, and healthcare is preferred.

Licensure and Certification:
- Current, unrestricted Attorney license is required. However, if a recent graduate, proof of sitting for a bar.
Working Conditions:
- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Compensation Range:
$79,800.00 - $127,600.00
