As the Advanced Lead Engineer - Hybrid-Electric Power System Modeling you will be a key member of the Hybrid Electric team within GE Aerospace. You will work on exciting projects like the next generation single aisle aircraft propulsion system with hybridization (RISE) or the next generation hybrid regional propulsion system (AMBER).

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform the electric design analysis for hybrid-electric propulsion system
- Lead/support the electric propulsion system modelling and simulation
- Collaborate with interfacing disciplines of hybrid-electric aerospace propulsion
- Support the electric system development for hybrid applications
Required Qualifications
- MS in electrical engineering or similar field
- Profound experience on electrical propulsion systems and their components (electric machine, power converter, cables, energy storage, switchgear, filters, …)
- Electric system design experience, preferably in the hybrid-electric space
- Strong technical background in transient/dynamic electric system theory and analysis
- Proven expertise in time domain electric system analysis tools, preferably Matlab or PLECS
- Proven expertise in Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) of electric propulsion systems
- Experience in validating electric propulsion systems through prototyping and laboratory testing
- Proven system thinker with ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

- Ph.D. in electrical engineering or relevant field

- Ability to self-manage workload across a number of projects, self–directed and motivated
- Industrial experience
- Aerospace experience
- Experience with Hardware in the Loop (HiL) tools
- Experience in power converter / electric machine integration
- Familiarity with electric machine control or classical controls systems
- Familiarity or tuning of basic control loops – current, voltage, speed
