About the Job
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Sr Master Data Management (MDM) & Customer Data Platform (CDP) Developer to join our Customer Data team. This individual will lead the development and implementation of our Master Data and Customer Data Platform, ensuring seamless integration with various data sources and enhancing data-driven decision-making capabilities across the organization. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for development, implementation and operational support of Master Data Management platform using IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management Advanced Edition v 12.x (IBM MDMv12) and its modules.
- Responsible for adjusting the Probabilistic Matching Engine (PME) of IBM MDMv12 as per Business Needs.
- Work with Product Owners and technical architects to customize IBM MDMv12 modules of Real-time MDM APIs, Duplicate Suspect Processing (DSP), Survivorship, Notification Framework and Extension Framework.
- Perform data remediation, manipulation and analysis of data sync issues between MDM and integrated systems.
- Responsible for supporting and optimizing our Master Data Management (MDM) platform to ensure seamless data integration, processing, and analysis.
- Responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing our Customer Data Platform (CDP) to ensure seamless data integration, processing, and analysis.
- Responsible for development of any necessary ad-hoc reporting based out of IBM MDMv12 data needed for Operational Reporting.
- Crucial in helping us understand customer behavior, preferences, and trends to drive personalized marketing strategies and improve overall customer engagement.
- Lead Development Efforts: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of the CDP and MDM modules to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and security.
- Integration: Ensure seamless integration of the CDP & MDM with various data sources, including CRM, marketing automation, and analytics tools.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, analytics and IT teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Architecture: Design scalable and efficient data architecture to support the organization’s data strategy.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of the CDP & MDM.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of the CDP & MDM architecture, processes, and procedures.
- Develop and maintain Snowflake ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes to integrate data from various sources into the CDP.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all customer data sources.
- Implement and provide support to data governance and compliance protocols, including GDPR and CCPA.
- Develop and deploy machine learning models for customer segmentation, personalization, and predictive analytics.
- Monitor and troubleshoot the CDP to ensure optimal performance and resolve any issues promptly.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to customer data platforms and data analytics.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and data engineers.
What You’ll Bring | Skills & Experience
- 8+ years experience with specific CDP platforms like SimonData, HighTouch, Segment or Similar CDP Platforms.
- Knowledge of machine learning and data analytics.
- Certification in relevant technologies or methodologies.
- Proven experience as a Lead Developer or in a similar role, preferably within the retail or apparel industry.
- Strong expertise in CDP platforms such as HighTouch, SimonData, Epsilon or similar tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, and JavaScript.
- Experience with cloud-based data storage like AWS & GCP.
- Knowledge of Snowflake Data Warehouse for setting up Data Pipelines.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau & Micro Strategy.
- Experience in the apparel or retail industry.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and marketing automation tools like Salesforce.
- Experience with API integrations and web services along with data cleansing.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of Data Privacy and Security Standards like CCPA, CRPA & GDPR
- Strong understanding of database modeling and database technologies (SQL & NoSQL).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The starting salary for this position is $133,500 and may increase to $177,900 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual’s skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Other compensation may include a 10% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
