As a Sustainability Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to develop, implement, and oversee sustainable practices and initiatives within the organization. You will work towards minimizing environmental impact, optimizing resource efficiency, and promoting socially responsible practices throughout the food service operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of food service operations, such as waste reduction and energy conservation.
- Evaluate and recommend sustainable sourcing practices for food and packaging materials.
- Partner with the Intuit Dome’s sustainability team to ensure 310 Provisions alignment with waste management programs, including recycling, composting, and reduction of single-use items.
- Implement strategies to minimize food waste within the operations.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate team members on sustainable practices and their role in achieving sustainability goals.
- Actively monitor and guide part-time F&B staff to ensure adherence to the organization’s zero waste policies during events.
- Foster a culture of sustainability through ongoing communication and engagement initiatives.
- Support and maximize contribution to the food donation program.
- Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of sustainability initiatives.
- Regularly evaluate and adjust strategies based on performance metrics and industry advancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred not required.
- Prove experience in food and beverage hospitality.
- Proven experience in the Sports and Entertainment arena industry.
- Passion for sustainability programs and practices.
- Understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability best practices.
- Familiarity with LEED and TRUE certifications, preferred but not required.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Good task management and organizational skills with an ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Good analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Competent with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Schedule flexibility; hours vary based on events.
