The WorkAs an HVAC Technician at Lockheed Martin, you will play a crucial role in performing a variety of HVAC operations and support functions across our facilities. Your responsibilities will include:
Installation, Service, and Maintenance: Installing, servicing, modifying, rebuilding, and repairing HVAC systems and equipment.
This includes working with large capacity systems such as rooftop equipment, air handlers, exhaust fans, fan coil units, DX coil units, cafeteria equipment, chillers, cooling towers, and boilers.
Specialized Operations: Operating and maintaining steam generators and environmental chambers.
Technical Tasks: Performing brazing/soldering, calibrating electronic and pneumatic controls, installing control wiring, and executing preventive and predictive maintenance.
System Management: Operating computerized Building Management Systems/Web Control, responding to alarms, and familiarizing yourself with site building layouts and systems.
Documentation: Maintaining accurate computerized documentation and data collection.
Safety: Utilizing proper personal protective equipment in the performance of all duties.

This position is located onsite in Manassas, VA.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government security clearance at the Secret level.

Who You AreYou are a skilled HVAC Technician with substantial experience in managing large-scale HVAC systems. Your technical expertise includes proficiency in brazing/soldering, control calibration, and system maintenance. You are adept at using computerized Building Management Systems and excel in maintaining accurate records. Your attention to detail, dedication to safety, and ability to troubleshoot complex systems set you apart. You are also skilled in ductwork assembly and insulation.

High school degree or equivalency.
Must have at least 5 years’ experience with Heating, Ventilation and Cooling (HVAC).
Must have EPA 608 CFC Universal certification.
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret level clearance
Candidate must be able to use hand and power tools including the proficient uses of torches, refrigeration gauges and multimeter.
Have and maintain a valid diver license.
Must be able to record, review and can interpret equipment & systems readings.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Able to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and controls issues.
Knowledge of Building Management Systems and computerized alarm & control systems.
Ability to work from a variety of aerial lift platforms and ladders.
Candidate must be able to lift 30 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
Desired Skills:Good general computer skills- proficiency in (Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel).
Excellent oral & written communication skills.
Self-motivated, dependable, maintains a positive attitude, and willing to be a responsible & dedicated team Player.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as with minimal supervision.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
