Principal Urban Planner
We are looking for an experienced Principal Urban Planner to join our team in Melbourne.
As a key leader within the Planning & Environmental team, you will oversee the delivery of urban planning services for a wide array of projects, including high-profile transport, water, andinfrastructure initiatives. Your leadership will directly contribute to some of Melbourne's most transformative projects.
You will also have the chance to expand your influence across sectors, guiding projects that span from transport and maritime to water and the built environment. In this role, you’ll leadmulti-disciplinary teams, drive strategy, and deliver innovative solutions with award-winning outcomes.
Your Role Will Include (but not be limited to):
Managing and securing planning approvals, including overseeing planning permit applications, Heritage Act permits, and other regulatory processes.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, government authorities, communities, and internal stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
Collaborating closely with engineers, ecologists, urban designers, and other built environment professionals to deliver integrated project solutions.
As an accomplished planning professional, you are ready to take the lead in some of Melbourne’s most iconic infrastructure projects. You have a proven ability to navigate complex planning environments, ensuring compliance while balancing multiple priorities and risks. In addition toyour technical expertise, you thrive in a leadership role, mentoring junior planners and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative outcomes.
You are also adept at building professional networks, both within KBR and externally, and have strong relationships with government departments and industry stakeholders. Your commitment to excellence and collaborative approach will help drive our projects forward.
