The Acquisitions & Divestitures ("A&D") team within the Energy & Power Group in CIB is seeking an Engineer, at the Associate level, to join its team. The position will report to the Head of Acquisitions & Divestitures.
The A&D team is an established practice at Wells Fargo and is a part of the firm's broader Energy & Power Investment Banking business, focused on advising companies operating in the upstream and midstream sectors. The team is comprised of experienced, product-focused bankers and technical professionals and partners with industry coverage bankers to develop strategic recommendations for clients.
In this role, you will:- Provide engineering analysis in support of the execution of A&D transactions for our corporate clients
- Generate strategic content, including financial and technical analysis and product-specific concepts
- Review and analyze market data, valuation analyses, models, and presentations that require research, evaluation, selection of alternatives, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables
- Present complex ideas and analyses to internal and external parties
- Coordinate deliverables with internal product partners
- Present recommendations for resolving business challenges and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Interact with internal and external customersRequired Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or
- Reservoir engineering exp a plus
- Experience in Aries, PHDWin, and Spotfire
- Prior experience in an engineering function supporting acquisitions & divestitures activity
- Strong engineering analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Willingness to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused collaborative and fast paced team environment with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results
- Strong financial modeling skills
Job Expectations:- Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
