POSITION PURPOSE: This is a
full-time, exempt position that will be reporting to the
Chief Financial Officer. This individual will be a senior financial leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of management reporting, financial planning, analysis, and consolidation, annual budget preparation, long range planning coordination, and planning system and tool development for the Company in coordination with its ultimate parent company, SK E&S, a Korean private energy company. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing senior leadership and the board of directors with data driven insights, forecasting, and tracking capital investment spending activity, and preparing near- and medium-term corporate level forecasts and plans. The individual will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the financial planning & analysis team with dynamic leadership that fosters an environment of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Management Reporting
- Develop monthly & quarterly internal management reporting package and other analyses as needed, including preparation of board reports and investment committee requests.
- Own the budget and forecast variance/reconciliation process (monthly, quarterly, and annually) to have a pulse on how the business is performing.
- Think critically to conduct ad-hoc analysis, summarize data, and develop reports, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to facilitate decision-making of senior management and the Board of Directors, including supporting the evaluation of strategic opportunities and their pro forma impact on the corporate financials.
- Prepare and present project and cost center level operating reports and analyses to senior management and other stakeholders, confirming they are in line with the company's financial goals and long-term vision or making strategic recommendations to optimize operating expenses.
- Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts and reports, coordinating with the SK E&S Team to coordinate any required capital requests.
- Lead or support initiatives related to cost-reduction projects, process changes, and other transformations that impact operating expenses.
- Actively develop ways to improve systems, reports, and models; move excel models to a systems-based approach and point out needed upstream IT/data improvements.
Project Forecast Tracking, Coordination & Consolidation
- Coordinate with development, construction, technology, and finance groups to prepare, maintain, and track project forecasts and project capital spend, implement pricing quality control & analysis.
- Bring order to a fast-moving planning ecosystem, clearly communicating timelines, deliverables, and expectations with all planning stakeholders and executing on the plan.
- Consolidate project level forecasts to determine corporate level capital investment needs, track performance against those forecasts, provide insights on variances, and support ROIC analysis for financial investment decisions and competitive commercial RFPs.
- Coordination with finance team for all project related analysis and due diligence related to greenfield and M&A project and corporate level capital raise activities.
- Collaborate with asset management, market operations, and finance groups to create and manage project operating budgets and reports.
Annual Budgeting and Long-Range Planning
- Manage the company’s annual and quarterly planning and budget process/calendar and coordinate with SK E&S corporate-level FP&A team.
- Conducts trend analysis and produce short- and long-term forecasts for key metrics, including supporting sensitivities analyses.
- Monitor business developments, quantify impacts and incorporate them into corporate forecasts, assumptions, and inputs.
- Work closely with various departments, such as procurement, finance, operations, human resources, and IT, to ensure alignment of expense management strategies and practices across the organization.
- Work with finance and senior leaders to incorporate annual budget and project forecasts into a multi-year strategic financial plan to help align the company around key financial and operational objectives.
- Support the firm's efforts to implement KPI's and other operational metrics for development, construction, operating projects, and overall corporate financial performance.
Financial Planning Systems & Process Improvements
- Partner with Accounting, Technology and Software Development teams to increasingly automate the analysis process and implement industry leading forecasting and planning processes to reduce inefficiencies and enhance accuracy of reporting.
- Define requirements and implement solutions to support corporate and parent FP&A needs.
- Engage in special projects from time to time with SK E&S’s investment team and address special requests for others on the firm's executive leadership team.
- Support Workday Adaptive roll out and continued integration with NetSuite.
- Identify potential financial risks related to capital investment and operating expenses and strategies to mitigate.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and external factors that could impact the Company’s financial plans.

WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
- A degree in accounting or finance is required. A master's degree is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in an FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance roles.
- Experience in power generation, renewables, and engineering and construction industries, with capital project forecasting a strong plus.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate key insights to stakeholders, supporting the achievement of defined goals.
- Demonstrated ability to drive planning and forecasting processes, proficiency in Workday Adaptive Planning reporting platform a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing accounting and FP&A teams at rapidly growing enterprises, with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Must be "hands on" with a strong attention to the details.
- Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Comfortable making formal presentations to executive management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Word)
- Adeptness with accounting software systems; familiarity with NetSuite and Quick Books a plus.
- Commitment to integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all aspects of the role.
