The Warehouse Associate II is primarily responsible for working in our Receiving department, picking, pulling, receiving, labeling, and stocking purchase orders within the specified amount of time. The Warehouse Associate II is responsible for handling product safely and in accordance with best methods to maintain product quality.
Essential Functions:
- Uses power equipment (e.g., forklift) to unload deliveries for trucks, organizing and storing received items in appropriate areas
- In Apartment Delivery: Assists drivers with delivery and unloading of merchandise within apartment/ buildings, per customer direction as needed
- Works safely while performing tasks and using equipment (e.g., uses proper lifting techniques for handling product, warns other associates when moving into high traffic path, maintains safety zone around equipment, etc.)
- Efficiently and accurately receive purchase orders, checking for damaging and comparing purchase orders with invoices and/or packaging lists
- Accurately pulls products from warehouse shelves based on item number, size, color, and quantity requirements
- Packs and stages completed purchase orders for delivery
- Verifies accuracy of items picked from warehouse shelves and staged for delivery by other warehouse associates
- Achieves or exceeds performance expectations by completing all receiving tasks efficiently and effectively
- Trained and performs tasks in cross-functional areas, such as picking, pulling, labeling, shipping, and/or helping with deliveries, as assigned by management
Requirements:
- 6 months of warehouse or distribution experience
- Minimally must be able to lift 40 pounds; ability to lift to 70 pounds with or without an accommodation.
- Strong safety orientation and proven record of complying with safety requirements
- Demonstrated track record of consistent and reliable on-the-job contribution
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision or with a team
- Ability to be trained to operate power equipment; experience operating power equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck, yard truck)
- Experience performing detail-oriented tasks in a fast-paced working environment
- Experience using spatial reasoning to position product effectively
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills
- Basic computer skills
Preferences:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
