JOB SUMMARY
Leading the Manufacturing Engineering Department in operating with a high level of efficiency, integrity and enthusiasm, striving to achieve excellence (and avoid mediocrity) in all endeavors. Be a creative and proactive contributor on the management team, focused on continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· This role must be viewed as operationally focused working closely with the Test and Quality Engineering leads in tandem with the Manufacturing Shift Lead to drive process test optimization, improvement and execution to plan.
· The Manufacturing Engineering Lead shall lead and manage the Manufacturing Engineers and Machine Support Engineers coordinating day to day activities in support of the manufacturing plan.
· Display expert knowledge of the corporate Manufacturing Engineering environment.
· Share information on the corporate environment with the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) function.
· Display expert knowledge of the internal and external engineering environment.
· Share information on the external environment with the ME function.
· Drive efficiencies in current technical systems.
· Manage the development of new technical systems.
· Support the Engineering Manager in the evaluation and equipment needs for today and future needs.
· Support the engineering manager with labour forecasting and skills needs in line with new business requirements.
· Undertake technology benchmarking and drive” best in class” engineering solutions.
· Lead and Manage the Manufacturing Engineering Function.
Individual Performance Management:
· Agree clear performance metrics.
· Review performance metrics and progress continuously.
· Effectively prepare for and perform informal 1 to 1’s and annual appraisals.
· Identify training / development needs on an ongoing basis.
· Agree individual development plans.
· Provide 1 to 1 coaching to facilitate individual excellence.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Team Performance Management:
· Drive a mindset of innovation and continuous improvement throughout the Manufacturing Engineering function.
· Create and manage a succession plan for the Manufacturing Engineering function.
· Drive motivation levels within the Manufacturing Engineering function.
· Drive consistency of approach and performance.
· Ensure that an effective forum for the exchange of ideas and information exists within the Manufacturing Engineering function.
· Review the absence profile and employee turnover within the Manufacturing Engineering function.
· Facilitate/ Coach the Manufacturing Engineers and Machine Technicians with regards to their roles & responsibilities within the team.
· Build and Maintains effective Customer Relationships.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
External Customers:
· Support Business Development through assessing the needs of potential customers in conjunction with the Engineering Manager and Engineering Leads.
· Provide effective tools and evaluation strategies to support Jabil Scotland’s quoting activity.
· Provide expert problem solving and customer focused support to individual businesses.
· Drive the Manufacturing Engineering function to provide existing customers with improved business solutions.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Internal Customer:
· Proactively identify internal customer needs.
· Drive “internal customer focus” mindset within Engineering teams.
· Effectively cascade functional / business information and expectations.
· Drive continuous improvement in areas of cost, quality and delivery.
· Analyse and prioritise areas for Manufacturing Engineering improvement e.g. machine uptime, efficiency improvements.
· Create a continuous improvement culture throughout the Manufacturing Engineering team with proactive presence online focusing on key improvement areas.
· Create vehicle to support multi-disciplined teams at all organizational levels to drive proactive involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.
· Work with engineering disciplines and manufacturing to establish service level agreements.
· Drive as key focus both the site and global objectives through Focus, commit deliver and Lean deployment.
· Attend and lead in key JOS meetings in particular TIC and QIC.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

- 有7年以上钣金工作经验,熟悉3C、通讯、商用空调行业钣金工艺;
- 熟悉钣金工艺,有一定的研发经验,熟悉冲压、折弯、镭切、清洗、喷粉等钣金全制程;
- 熟练使用各类办公软件,如CAD、SPC等;
- 具备良好的沟通和协作能力,具备团队合作精神;

二、岗位职责:
- 负责钣金新产品的研发及试制,包括设计、工艺优化、检验及组装等环节;
- 负责生产线的调试及维护,确保设备正常运转,提高生产效率;
- 处理客户端反馈的问题,解决生产中出现的各种问题;
- 完成钣金件开发相关工作,如首件确认、产品检验等;
- 负责与其他部门的沟通及协作,如与工程部、品质部、物料部等部门的沟通和协调;
