The Training Specialist is responsible for delivering high quality and dynamic training programs to our Operations, Project Execution, IT and other teams who work on and around our assets. This role has an impact on safety by directly working with and influencing these groups, while enabling required processes to occur by meeting Operating and Regulatory requirements.

For a Training Specialist III
Responsibilities/Expectations:
Accounts for the execution of our safety, compliance, and technical training programs
Uses a variety of modalities, including hands-on, traditional classroom, and virtual to deliver training courses
Procures and monitors training solutions by third-party vendors as the need arises
Assesses and communicates training needs for initial and refresher training to maintain compliance with Operating Requirements and other regulations
Consults on training needs in addition to identifying and communicating training objectives; assists in the development, modification and/or improvement of training programs
Maintains currency with LMS and recordkeeping requirements to maintain accurate, auditable records; provides data to satisfy audit requests
Leads projects including enterprise-wide training efforts such as analyzing audience, developing communication, coordinating delivery, and follow up
Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
Required: Vocational/Technical/Business School and a minimum of four (4) years in oil and gas energy industry with prior training experience
Preferred: A minimum of five (5) years of operations or safety experience

Demonstrates outstanding organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
Preferred: Expertise and knowledge of Life Critical safety policies and OSHA
Preferred: Expertise in adult learning theory
