Description: Independently plan and perform visual inspection and testing operations on electrical and electronic panel/box assemblies, printed wiring boards fiber optic cables/assemblies and harnesses.
Typical Responsibilities
Assignment to this position is conditional upon receiving, and maintaining, Manufacturing Operator Certification; High Reliability, Soldering certification to SS7200, successful completion of eye, literacy and instructional class(es)/tests and maintenance of statistically documented quality production work levels.
Follow general instructions, standard inspection procedures, engineering drawings or
schematics, Sikorsky standards/specifications, military standards/specifications, check lists, work guides, records and other written or oral instructions to perform inspection and testing operation on electrical or electronic panel/box assemblies and printed wiring broads, inspect components and assemblies for physical conditions, surface finish, identification, completion of all operations, acceptable workmanship and complete and acceptable paperwork.
Specific inspections include, but are not limited to, nicked/broken wiring strands, marking
legibility, wiring strain relief, electrical/mechanical connection integrity, solder connections to military standards such as 2000A and 454 requirements, printed wiring boards' conformal coat wiring routing, contact and terminal crimping, splicing, connector grommet seal integrity, tying and reinspection of rework.
Work out of department as required.
Maintain documentation of operations performed.
Perform other related inspection duties as required.
Perform operator checklist as required.
Contribute to the overall effectiveness of equipment by performing operator required upkeep.
Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety.
Segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.
Refer only unusual conditions to Working Leader or supervisor.
Basic Qualifications:Requires knowledge of electrical assembly methods and inspection procedures, also requires ability to read wiring schematics, check sheets, Sikorsky and military specifications, and other written instructions. Use electrical measuring and testing equipment such as circuit analyzer, TDR, resistance tester, etc. Short training courses such as Electro Static Discharge (ESD), Fiber Optic assembly and inspection, High Reliability Soldering and Inspection and Operator Certification (OpCert) are required to receive certifications related to the production and inspection of electrical or electronic components and assemblies. Must maintain current certification(s) as required.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
