Overview
The Site Safety Specialist should possess a strong background in implementing anindustrial-based safety program. Responsible for developing and implementing safety programs, enforcing policies, and conducting training, inspections, audits, and job safety analysis to ensure compliance with the ABM safety program and local, state, federal, and regulatory agencies. In conjunction with operations and other stakeholders, this role is heavily engaged in efforts to produce the number of injuries and the AL/GL claims.
The Site Specialist also responsible for driving process improvements through statistical analysis of injury data to identify and address the root causes of injuries. The role is field-focused (on-site), spending time at ABM's client, providing support to management, supervisors, and employees, and working together with other stakeholders to promote safety initiatives with the goal of zero accidents and injuries.

Essential Qualifications:
- Preferred experience working in an industrial manufacturing facility with a strong focus on a safe work environment.
- Participate in developing and implementing plantwide safety programs such as defensive, driving lockout tag out, confirmed space entry, fire protection, and other OSHA safety programs.
- Skilled in project management, problem-solving techniques, and communicating ideas and instructions.
- Skilled in directing activities and operations of others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Job Duties:
- Able to effectively communicate with ABM team members and client representatives to ensure the successful completion of assigned training.
- Participate in developing and implementing department safety work order tracking and reporting.
- Conduct routine and follow-up safety and hazard inspections of plan facilities.
Respond to emergencies, prepare reports of findings, and submit recommendations. - Analyzes accident reports for trends. Make recommendations for direction on safe conditions and actions.
- Prepare, maintain, and submit required forms, such as facility inspection, checklist, monthly report, scrubber, condition checklist, and scrubber run report.
Ongoing safety awareness and is responsible for meeting acceptable safety records. - Monitors SWOP, BBO, and SSE audits and reports to the Project Manager and Regional Safety Manager weekly.
- Complete daily shift report to include employee-inclined engagement and submit it to the ABM office.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Attend monthly supervisor training at the ABM office or other designated location.
