We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our federal team supporting Fort Stewart and the Hunter Army Airfield location near Savannah, GA (military experience encouraged, but not required) supporting long-term energy efficiency and sustainability projects, primarily related to the electrical installation work for HVAC, HVAC controls (DDC controls), BAS, metering, and other building controls systems.

Pay Rate: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour. Negotiable based on experience

Shift: Primarily first shift/day shift hours, Monday-Friday
Benefits: Eligible for benefits on first day of employment
Vacation: 3 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, 3 floating holidays, and 10 standard holidays per calendar year (6.5 weeks of paid time of in total)
Travel Required: None, all work is based at this location.
As an Journeyman Electrician, you will:
- Perform routine installation and checkout on a variety of electrical systems utilizing codes, company procedures, schematics, and/or engineering drawings
- Installs raceways, cables and wiring to meet local or national codes, standards and customer system requirements.
- Mounts and terminates controls equipment as needed.
- May assist sales with electrical estimates, including walking retrofit projects.
- Checks out wiring and terminations with test instruments as needed
- Assists with paperwork, including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation. Provides feedback to engineering team on changes and keeps as-built drawings current
- Mentoring of junior electricians and/or helpers
- Adheres to Johnson Controls safety programs and policies
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Electrical apprenticeship or formal training in electrical installation techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and/or engineering drawings.
- Possesses working knowledge of local electrical codes.
- Experienced in scope determination of installation materials.
- Able to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with electrical systems for HVAC equipment or control systems
Preferred Education:
- Electrical apprenticeship
- Possesses Journeyman or Master Electrician level license
