The opportunity
We are looking for a motivated individual to join the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team. The Responsible Manager will be responsible for the operation and regulatory compliance of the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR) Part 145 Maintenance Organisation.
The HATS DASR Part 145 approved maintenance organisation supports the sustainment operations program by providing line, base and component maintenance services for the HATS Airbus EC135 rotorcraft fleet, situated at HMAS Albatross in Nowra, NSW.
- Responsibilities -
- Ensuring that all maintenance required to be carried out, including defect rectification, is carried out to the standards and requirements of the DASRs and the BDA Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) in both Nowra, NSW and Oakey, QLD.
- Work closely with the Quality and Safety Managers to support the quality and safety management systems.
- Investigating and coordinating any action resulting from the quality compliance monitoring function.
- Experience/Qualifications -
- The ability to achieve Chartered status through Engineering Australia
- At least 5 year' experience working in the aviation engineering and maintenance environment.
- Possess aircraft maintenance engineer qualifications and have a knowledge of and experience working with Maintenance Management Systems is highly desirable
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skill
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Manage the HATS regulatory environment under Defence Aviation Safety Regulation Part 145.
- Provide leadership and promote a safe and healthy work environment
- Support the HATS MRO Services Operations Manager and contribute to the effective operation of the business.
Security Clearance
You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (Baseline) sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for whole of life i.e. birth to present time.
