The opportunity
We are seeking a talented Support System Modelling and Optimisation Analyst to support BDA's Air Combat and Electronic Attack Sustainment Program (ACEASP) with Royal Australian Air Force's (RAAF) fleet of F/A-18F Super Hornets and EA-18G Growlers. The role will be based in Brisbane at RAAF Amberley QLD. Working within the ACEA Modelling and Decision Support team, you will aid in deployment of BDA support system modelling and analysis tools within the ACEA Program in order to identify opportunities and formulate recommendations which improve the overall performance of ACEA support systems. The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

The Modelling and Optimisation Analyst will be a valued member of the BDA Product Support Training and Maintenance Capability. This position will work closely with various ACEA program stakeholders to develop, create and maintain models that are trusted to enable informed decision support across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the ACEASP OPUS Suite toolset (OPUS10, SIMLOX and CATLOC),
- Perform support system Life Cycle Cost, Spares Analysis, Operations Analysis, trade-off, sensitivity and risk analysis.
- Analyze engineering, technical, maintenance and supply system source data and specifications to identify and recommend improvements to the support system.
- Collaborate with BDA subject matter experts for support system modelling and analysis best practice
- Develop and deliver Technical Reports and recommendations.
Experience/Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in analysis and validation of large and complex data sets in an aviation maintenance and or supply support environments is highly desirable.
- Experience using coding languages (VBA, python, C# or similar) and/or database query languages (e.g. SQL)
- Experience in creating model-based solutions (OPUS Suite) is desirable but not essential
- Experience in fleet planning and support, support system analysis, and/or other associated logistics engineering standards would be advantageous.
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security and International Traffic of Arms (ITAR) requirements.
