Job Description

LinkedIn’s Sales Solutions team is dedicated to changing the world of sales. We are supporting customers in developing a Deep Sales approach focusing their sales efforts where they will have the best impact. We do this through the use of LinkedIn Sales Insights, which helps establish a customer's addressable market and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, which helps connect, engage and build mutually beneficial relationships between buyers and sellers at the right time. You will sell the tool (Sales Navigator) you use to be a successful seller on a daily basis to customers who need this tool to sell to their own customers and grow their business.
As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for the full new business acquisition sales cycle: from generating interest of your target accounts in your book of business to doing extensive discovery calls, negotiation and closing the deal. You have a hunter’s mentality and are motivated by closing new business deals. You will use your strategic selling skills to educate prospective customers on the benefits and value of our two core solutions: Sales Navigator and Sales Insights. You will serve as a trusted adviser, share insights and continually seek opportunities for growth to make your customers as strong and successful as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full new business acquisition sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
- Drive new business revenue by generating interest of prospective customers in your book of target accounts. You are responsible for prospecting and building opportunities that will make all parties more successful.
- Consistently meet and exceed the business and revenue objectives set forth in your plan
- Gains commitment and buy-in by showing ability to create urgency & accountability with the customer, and to practice smart negotations
- Shows ability to close complex deals by understanding the customer's business & objectives, effective discovery skills, and being a trusted advisor
- Applies Solution Expertise through having knowledge of the competition, leading with solutions, and having a consultative approach
- Build multi-level relationships and adapts communication to understand the buyer
- Demonstrates operational excellence and metrics driven mindset Plans and prioritizes own book-of-business to execute on strategic territory plans and deliver reliable forecasts
- Inspire yourself, our company and your customers to embrace a new method of connecting value to customers
- Adapt but also work to develop, apply and circulate a set of best practices that will be the foundation of this growing team
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 6+ years in sales role including direct selling, business development or sales development
- 5+ years of full cycle sales quota carrying experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a SaaS-based environment
- Experience using LinkedIn as a sales professional
- Proven history of overachieving quota and results in a high-growth company
- Demonstrated ability to source, manage and close high-level business-to-business sales
- Ability to assess customer challenges, align solutions and read prospective buyers
- Ability to predictably forecast and execute on business goals
- Ability to use insights and data-driven decisions in the sales process
- Ability to effectively build trust-based relationships with senior-level sales professionals
- Ability to build consensus at speed among multiple, cross-functional decision makers and influencers in a single company
- Ability to simultaneously manage a high volume of opportunities and transactions
