As a Lead Senior Tax Accountant, you will play an essential role in our organization, contributing to various financial tasks and projects. Your responsibilities will include:
• Preparing and reviewing assigned income tax accounting with a deep understanding of ASC740, maintaining required book & tax basis balance sheets.
• Managing the tax planning and compliance function, which includes preparing assigned federal and state income tax returns, as well as partnership returns.
• Overseeing the tax forecasting process, including the preparation of assigned estimated payments.
• Reviewing new and existing tax laws, court cases, regulations, and rulings to minimize the Corporate tax burden.
• Building and maintaining crucial relationships between Tax and Business Units, ensuring Tax has a well-informed view of the business operations.
• Collaborating closely with the Tax Accounting and Reporting team for the timely and accurate preparation of assigned quarterly and annual tax provision packets and related disclosures.
• Seeking opportunities for efficiency and improvements in processes, driving meaningful change.

Global DEI.Basic Qualifications:• At least 6 years of public accounting firm or large company tax department experience
• Technical skills in book and tax accounting
• Knowledge of and experience with tax laws and policies
• Experience with rules governing accounting for income taxes and SARBOX
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Continuous learning attitude and willingness to teach others
Desired Skills:• CPA and/or Master Degree in Tax, Accounting, or related discipline
• 4+ years of public accounting firm experience strongly preferred (Big Four or large public accounting firm)
• Experience in M&A (due diligence & modeling) and JV activity
• Proficient with Thomson Reuters OneSource, Oracle and CorpTax
• Experience with AI, Alteryx, dashboards, and/or digital transformations

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $86,700 - $166,300. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
