SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for leading the strategy development, annual operating plan development, and execution of the annual operating plan for the ALI network, transportation functions, and corporate logistics teams. This includes achieving the financial operating plan, SQDCPS metrics, and active development of long-term strategies to increase value to our customers. Monitor department performance and make adjustments as needed. Establish the strategic and tactical direction and drive strategic projects to achieve optimal results for delivery, cost, quality, safety and growth. This role will partner cross-functionally with sales, manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing, finance, and IT (among others) to create shared alignment in achieving goals of all functions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Improve the value provided to the business and our customers by the Andersen logistics network by managing to a balanced SQDCP scorecard.
- Facilitate the setting of strategic and tactical direction and projects for initiatives that improve customer service, product quality and processes while reducing lead time and overall cost.
- Develop distribution capabilities to support future needs including system and process capabilities, organizational development and leadership pipeline.
- Integrate with all functional areas of the processes to ensure projects and processes optimize the overall distribution function with specific focus on information and product flow.
- Partner with Sales to assess and manage long and short-term demand requirements based on forecasts, promotions, new products, etc. and their impacts on operation.
- Operational execution and continuous improvement.
- Serve as functional leader and SME on various cross functional teams.
- Provide overall leadership & direction to all Logistics and Transportation Managers within the AW Division. This includes direct management of those within centralized support roles and plant/distribution center specific logistics managers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Minimum of 10+ years directly related experience
- Minimum of a four year degree in Engineering, Logistics or Supply Chain
- Knowledge in logistics and/or transportation management
- Solid understanding of business processes involved from development of products through manufacturing and logistics.
- Strong leadership skills including coaching, mentoring, and listening
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong influencing and conflict management skills
- Strong strategic thinking and conceptualization skills combined with the ability to translate strategy into workable objectives
- Proven project management capabilities
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate with other departments/organizations over which you have no formal authority. Matrixed business experience a plus.

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
