Software Engineer
What does a successful Software Engineer do at Fiserv?
You will be at the forefront of developing and enhancing innovative solutions that drive our business forward. You'll work closely with a talented team to create high-quality software that meets the needs of our customers. This role is crucial in ensuring our technology continues to lead the market, providing scalable and reliable solutions.
What you will do:
- Define and develop customized solutions on host-centric mainframe debit and network platforms to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements, and company goals
- Develop, support, and enhance technical requirements of critical merchant systems and initiatives
- Communicate with business executives, senior IT executives, project managers, clients, and other developers to design cohesive project strategies and cross-platform application solutions
- Ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of requirements definition, design, development, testing, and deployment
- Provide consultation on emerging application software needs and architectural guidance for global product and technology solutions within the Debit Back Office Reconciliation (DBOR) system
- Communicate strategic business and application strategies across all Omaha Merchant Solutions and Debit Back Office Reconciliation impacted systems
- Provide technical insight to application functionality queries enabling the business to meet and exceed client expectations
- Provide 24x7 on-call support ensuring efficient response times in remediation of cycle issues
What you will need to have:
- 5+ years of experience with mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS
- Experience with Endevor, Service Point, CA7, Clarity, Jira, Intertest Batch debugging tool, Easytrieve, and FileMaster
- Current Fiserv experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
