Rotoflow Machinery Tech I Roles and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Machinery Tech I with Rotoflow, An Air Products Business, located at our Bethlehem, PA location.
Rotoflow is a full-service turbomachinery OEM - providing a wide-range of new equipment solutions and aftermarket services to our customers globally. For over 75 years, Rotoflow has designed and manufactured both standard and custom-engineered cryogenic and warm gas centrifugal turbomachinery used in market segments such as industrial gases, petrochemicals, and hydrocarbons. Products include compressor loaded turbo-expanders, generator-loaded power recovery expanders, and low-cost dissipative expanders. We offer new equipment designs, rerates, upgrades and repair along with field services, engineering evaluations, reliability, troubleshooting, training, remote diagnostics/data monitoring, shop services, and new equipment replacements for all types of centrifugal and reciprocating equipment. Our customers are served globally through regional service centers supported by both regional and centralized execution teams.
Required Skills / Abilities:
Working knowledge of torque wrenches, power tools, and hand tools for mechanical assembly
Use precision measuring equipment such as caliper and micrometers
Turning and milling machine operation
Crate building for packaging machinery or other heavy equipment.
Forklift, pallet jack or reach truck operation
Experience in data management systems such as: ERP systems, SAP (preferred)
Working computer knowledge of Windows, Excel and Word
Ability to read Mechanical drawings for job duties
Safety first work mentality
Education and Licensing Requirements:
Minimum High school diploma with 3+ years’ experience in a mechanical, maintenance, or assembly fields
Preferred Associate degree from a technical school with training in mechanical assembly, automotive or industrial and/or precision measuring & machining
Excellent attention to detail
Good written and verbal communications skills
Able to work within a team environment with ability to change priorities quickly
Knowledge of mechanical assembly applying to industrial machine maintenance or rebuilds, automotive or diesel engine assembly or mechanical assembly.
Willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime
Ability to work in a union environment
Work will include (After Training):
All duties necessary to receive, store and issue materials, parts, and equipment in the storeroom.
All operations necessary to ship and receive all materials and products such as wrapping, packing, weighing, stenciling, addressing, crating, un-crating, loading, and unloading.
Prepare all necessary documents.
Operate equipment necessary in the performance of duties such as forklift, hoist, hand truck, overhead cranes, and other lifting equipment including company vehicles.
Perform inventory counts; knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
Perform a variety of tasks to support production.
Adhere to production schedules
Process full part inspections as required
Maintain a clean and organized working space
Working with pressure containing vessels and/or testing equipment
Dynamic or single plane balancing equipment operation
