The Processing, Guidance & Control (PG&C) Center, within the Systems Engineering Directorate, consists of Signal Processing (SP), Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) and Modeling and Simulation disciplines. PG&C delivers key technologies to our effector programs portfolio. The Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) teams provide aerodynamic and autopilot designs, optimized system motion designs, and state estimation to facilitate mission guidance goals. The Signal Processing (SP) teams extract and exploit signals from both active and passive sensors to be used for acquiring, detecting, tracking, and classifying objects of interest. The Modeling Simulation Analysis (MSA) teams are responsible for product-level simulations that help us design, develop, verify, and validate our products and capabilities. Our simulations model the components and subsystems that make up our designs, and the world our products interact with.
The PG&C Center is currently hiring for a Multi-Department Administrative Assistant to provide high-level administrative support. As an administrative assistant, you will have a key role with a variety of responsibilities that fall within three main categories: Provide support to the Center leadership team, provide as-needed support for over 1,000 employees within the Center and interface with staff across other Centers within the Systems Engineering Directorate. This role will cover three department leaders and the members of three departments, numbering around 450 people.
This individual must exhibit the utmost level of professionalism and use excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with the Directorate leadership team. The administrative assistant will maintain a high degree of confidentiality and will need to exhibit discretion when handling sensitive information.
This position is onsite in Tucson, AZ.
What You Will Do
- Perform a wide variety of intricate administrative duties requiring professionalism, tact, diplomacy, discretion, and sound judgement. This includes managing calendars, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving abilities to adjust or prioritize schedules based on last-minutes changes.
- Arrange for conference rooms, catering, audio/video and other essential services for meetings and conferences.
- Compile and/or assist in preparation of various documents, to include but not limited to meeting minutes, presentations, reports, correspondence, and other materials.
- Attend meetings and other functions as requested.
- Plan and coordinate on-boarding and off-boarding activities for employees using approved Raytheon tools.
- Work with the admin team on various projects, as well as, assisting with improving processes where necessary.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2 year post high school training) and a minimum of 6 years of administrative experience supporting large employee populations, senior leaders and multiple organizational groups
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite Tools, to include but not limited to: Outlook, OneNote, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Excel.
- Experience with calendar organization, meeting scheduling and coordination, event planning and generation of travel and expense reports
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where non-routine requests and situations occur frequently.
- Experience in working independently as well as working in a team environment.
- Evidence of being a self-starter with the ability to take appropriate initiative and independent judgement for assisting leaders, customers, employees, and others.
- Experience working with Raytheon policies, procedures, forms, processes and tools, such as CAFM, ServiceNow, TravelSmart, WebTE, SAP/APEX, RTime, etc.

The salary range for this role is 44,000 USD - 102,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
