This role reports to the Platform Manager -Office 365 & Automation, and is located in Bangalore, India.
You will collaborate closely with our global Vontier teams and Operating Companies, managing day-to-day activities through our systems. As a Subject Matter Expert in Microsoft Office 365, you will work closely with infrastructure and product team leads, architects, and enhance the digital workspace experience using Microsoft Office 365 tools and technology. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining Exchange Online, O365, Proofpoint, email security, routing, and other O365 solutions. This involves leveraging technologies such as Outlook, Quest Migration, Defender for Office 365, etc., to meet our business needs. You will also drive best practices in Digital Workplace and Office 365 infrastructure tools and technology
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Support day-to-day operations of in Office 365 Configure, administer, secure, and troubleshoot Office 365 tenant mail routing and configurations
- Discover AD/Exchange/Exchange Online/Security setting/configurations and prepare discovery report.
- Capture and document the Risk & Dependency for each AD/Exchange/Exchange Online/Security elements in the environment.
- Monitor, Configure & administer on Office 365 Tools and Technology like email, OneDrive, Mail Routing SMTP, email security, DLP SharePoint Online, Teams, Teams Phone, Teams Rooms, Call Center Telephony, Apps and Create PowerShell and utility scripts to automate repetitive tasks where possible.
- Responsibilities involve managing e-discovery, Proofpoint, email relay, certificates, Defender for Office 365, Active Directory, MFA, encryption, malware, phishing, etc., and providing technical guidance.
- Ensure readiness for migration with respect to AD/Exchange/Exchange Online/Security and related Network aspects.
- Migration of legacy or third-party cloud email solutions (such as Google Workspace, Lotus Notes) to O365
- Investigation of Office 365 and Azure-related alerts and compliance threshold breaches.
- Assist in integrating new acquisitions and other project initiatives.
- Work continuously on a ticket/task until resolved/completed, prioritize, and manage several open cases at one time.
- Research, resolve, and respond to questions received via telephone calls, email, and tickets in a timely manner, in accordance with standards.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation such as High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) of system and application configurations and changes.
WHO YOU ARE
- Candidates applying for this position should have at least 5-7 years of experience working with Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with Office 365 and the Microsoft strategy for Office and email platforms, preferably Exchange/Outlook.
- Experience with end-user technologies such as AD, Exchange, O365, SharePoint, OneDrive, MS Teams, and other tools like Quest
- Understanding of Office 365 licensing, Azure Active Directory, and Exchange mail flow and tracking.
- Knowledge of EUC, macros, and VB scripts. Coding knowledge/skills are preferred (PowerShell).
- Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office architecture and design principles at enterprise scale.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, coupled with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Solid understanding of quality standards, legislation, ITIL, and best practices.
- Capacity to adapt and prioritize tasks effectively, proficient in gathering and assimilating information.
- Familiarity with industry standards, available technologies, and best practices in security and systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience.
