As a Risk Manager at Capital One you’ll be responsible for working with business partners to identify and mitigate potential risks to Capital One. Risk Managers at Capital One are the front line of defense to ensure our Company remains stable and profitable. They have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to work with Executives to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company.
As a Risk Manager for the Premium Products and Experiences team, you will have an opportunity to support a fast growing business through the product development lifecycle from ideation to execution. Responsibilities:
Serve as a liaison, interfacing with business partners, Tech, and other assurance functions, such as legal, compliance to drive meaningful reductions in risk
Advise and consult with business teams to help develop well-designed products, processes, and supporting technologies and implement risk management practices; support our business partners to drive the risk/return trade-off decisions
Synthesize data and reporting; perform analysis and bring valuable business insights
Stay abreast of the changing regulatory environment and understand the impacts to the business areas that you support
Be a part of leading and delivering on our well-managed agenda
Set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams
Design, implement, and/or influence internal governance processes
Assess controls, and glean insights from issues and events across business areas

Basic Qualifications:
At least 3 years of Financial Services Compliance experience or Risk Management experience or Card services experience
At least 2 years of Project Management experience
At least 2 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree
5+ years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk
1+ years experience working in an Agile environment
Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
Lean, Agile, Six Sigma or Business Process Management certification
PMP Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM)
