Are you ready to take your maintenance career to the next level? Join our dynamic team in Mexicali as a Maintenance Technician “A”. In this role, you’ll ensure the continuous and efficient operation of production equipment by carrying out timely preventive and corrective maintenance, with the goal of guaranteeing 100% availability of critical equipment. The technician will be responsible for managing work orders and notifications in SAP, as well as collaborating in meeting the production schedule, contributing to the proper use of materials and maintaining a high level of service. Additionally, the technician will focus on maintaining high-criticality equipment essential to the business.
HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Ensure the safety of yourself and your team by properly using the appropriate tools and equipment.
- Reduce downtime caused by malfunctioning equipment by effectively implementing preventive maintenance plans, ensuring the production schedule is met on time.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to create preventive maintenance plans and ensure they are executed as scheduled.
- Develop comprehensive folders with critical spare parts, equipment layouts, maintenance programs, and inspection lists, in collaboration with the Maintenance Planner and Warehouse Coordinator.
- Execute all tasks outlined in the preventive maintenance plan with precision and care.
- Create and organize detailed spare parts lists for each piece of equipment, and accurately input the necessary data into SAP to maintain proper stock levels.
- Manage the maintenance budget efficiently by optimizing the use of tools, resources, and spare parts, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Support production operations by testing equipment after maintenance, cleaning, and during line start-ups.
- Follow up on work orders generated from the previous shift to ensure smooth transitions.
- Complete daily checklists and generate necessary notifications for any issues.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
- Technical Education: Must have completed a technical degree in Electromechanics, Electronics, Electrical, or related fields. A completed or partially completed professional degree is a plus.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in maintenance or a similar role, with strong knowledge of industrial mechanics (gear reducers, power transmission systems, conveyors), basic electronics, and electrical systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in preventive and predictive maintenance (TPM), intermediate knowledge in pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding (pailería). Expertise in reading electrical control diagrams, diagnosing and programming variable frequency drives (VFD), and basic PLC knowledge.
- Computer Skills: Basic SAP knowledge and proficiency with standard computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Soft Skills: Ability to work under pressure, with a strong sense of urgency, effective communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Must be available to work flexible hours.
