We are looking to hire a Resource Manager to support our Consulting practice. We are open to hiring this role in any east coast or central RSM office location. This is a hybrid role, requiring some time in the office. They will support our Risk Consulting group.
The Resource Manager is expected to make independent decisions on staffing issues ensuring that engagements are scheduled appropriately with the alignment of resources based on a variety of factors including experience, industry and technical expertise and geography, resources are effectively deployed and staff workloads are balanced. The Resource Manager is responsible for analyzing scheduling reports, resolving scheduling conflicts and partnering with leadership on resource availability and overall staff utilization and engagement management. The Resource Manager is a key contributor to the practice’s financial performance by effectively aligning resources to clients’ needs with main focus on operational efficiency and financial metrics and additional focus on talent development, growth and satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelors or Associates Degree – Preferred or 8+ years of relevant scheduling experience Required
- Resource Management or Project Management Certifications - Preferred
TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS
- Strong Microsoft office skills, specifically with Excel – Required
- Ability to prepare presentations including charts, graphics and tables – Preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate both verbally and written with diverse audiences at all levels of the organization. - Required
- Strong analytical, forecasting, problem solving and client service skills – Required
- Demonstrated ability to identify complex patterns of risk, challenges and resolves issues, makes effective recommendation on course of action, and understands when to escalate complex issues – Required
- Effective organization and time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks required – Required
- Strong attention to detail – Required
- Ability to respond positively to changing circumstances, seek and implement change to drive business improvement; serve as a change agent – Required
- Operates with a sense of urgency - Required
EXPERIENCE
- 5 -8 years of relevant scheduling/resource management experience or LOB/Solution Set experience – Required
- Previous experience in LOB or Solution Set supporting - Preferred

- Ability to facilitate collaborative discussions regarding resource assignment, utilization and gap analysis between resource managers and leadership.
- Ability to drive collaboration and communication between teams.

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $92,600 - $159,000
Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
