Overview
In this role, you will develop accurate, detailed construction cost estimates. The Process Piping Estimator leads and trains Estimating personnel while following the Preconstruction standards and processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing accurate, detailed construction cost estimates at progressive design stages
- Developing associated scope of work clarifications
- Contributing to cost savings exercises
- Assisting with the development of bid packages
- Assisting with project procurement and buyout
- Collaborating with Preconstruction Leadership
- Collaborating with designers and clients
- Following project construction costs and market trends
- Travel as required
- Other duties which may be assigned as needed
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent and 5 years of estimating experience preferred or 15 years relevant experience in the construction industry
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- Demonstrated estimating experience for mechanical process piping
- Design-Build and CMAR project delivery method experience
- Revit, 3D model experience a plus
- Self-perform experience
- Experience within Manufacturing, Industrial, Consumer Product Goods, Food & Beverage or Water & Wastewater markets
- Estimating software experience required, Beck Destini Estimator and FastPIPE preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
