World Electric is hiring a Counter Sales/Warehouse Pro to join our team
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Starting Rate: Competitive hourly rate with full benefits package
Job Description: As a World Electric Counter Sales/Warehouse associate, you will facilitate moving product throughout the warehouse through the use of equipment in areas such as Receiving, Stocking, Shipping, Order Processing and Replenishment. Your responsibilities will include operating equipment in a safe manner, while making sure that you are maintaining a safe and clean working area and ensuring that our product is in perfect condition and ready for our customers. You will also be responsible for selling electrical supplies, various parts, and equipment at specific counter locations. The responsibilities listed below may vary by shift or departmental assignment
- Verify correct quantities and items for all sections.
- Sorts and places material or items on racks, shelves, or in bins.
- Box up and label material.
- Construct orders based on delivery area preventing stock from being damaged on delivery.
- Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Greet customers in a timely, professional and courteous manner.
- Determine make and type of product needed.
- Discuss use and features of various parts.
- Research replacement part stock number and price.
- Fills customer orders from stock.
- Operates computer to order, enter, and retrieve data.
- Receives payment or obtains credit authorization.
- Advises customer on substitution or modification of part when replacement is not available.
- Examines returned part to determine if defective, and exchanges part or refunds money.
- Receives and fills telephone orders.
- Assists customers with gathering their material.
- Assists customers with loading the material in their vehicle.
- Helps maintain pricing levels to achieve gross margin and sales goals.
- Assists in organizing counter days.
- Makes proactive telephone calls to potential new customers and existing customers.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong math and reading skills
- Positive commitment to accomplish counter/warehouse goals
Required Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
1 year or more related customer service-oriented experience
