Data/Configuration Management Analyst Specialist
KBR has an opening for a test and evaluation analyst – Data/Configuration Management Analyst Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals onsite at NBVC Point Mugu, CA. This position requires on-site presence.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Serves as the test and evaluation analyst and data products coordinator for AD T&E activities, responsible for all test data production/distribution.
Responsibilities will include assisting ITT test engineers with facilities setup and data collection/management for all test evolutions related to the E-2D AD program.
Utilizes dedicated AIS to support aircraft configuration and modifications.
Operates Windows and Linux based Automated Information Systems (AIS) to support flight test data collection, download, duplication, and archiving.
Assists on-site Information Technology (IT) personnel with Systems Administration (SA) duties related to maintenance and operations of the test support AIS.
Participates in strategic planning meetings to keep leadership appraised of Instrumentation and test support AIS status and future requirements.
Performs technical research and making recommendations for future network/AIS configuration changes to keep pace with both emerging test/security requirements and system upgrade/modernization requirements.
Periodic travel to remote test sites required.
Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree and twelve (12) or more years of experience in performing technical and/or engineering support functions is required. OR
Bachelor’s degree and an additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a Master’s degree. OR
Associate’s degree and an additional eight (8) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a Master’s degree.
Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and similar computer–based productivity applications.
CompTIA Security+ (CE) certification required within 6 months of employment.
Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
A current Secret Clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of VMWare and virtual environments, configuration and use of redundant array of independent disks (RAID) and components, data downloading and duplication, tape backup procedures and data archiving is highly desired.
Familiarity with Windows Server OS, Windows 10 and Symantec Backup Exec is desired.
This position requires a motivated self-starter with a high degree of problem solving, troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week
Compensation: $117,000-176,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation.
