We are looking to add a handful of candidates to our dispatch/operations team at our Romulus Terminal! We are looking for someone who has knowledge in Automotive JIT (Just In Time) transportation sector working with our automotive customers. Must be patient, have good communication skills (phone, in person and by email), has multi-tasking and problem solving skills.
Computer skills are required as well; to email, enter/track loads, update our load boards, book loads and keep all our customers and other terminals up to speed on what is going on daily.
Duties:
-Must have knowledge with one of these customer boards:
Ryder LMS
Penske
Stars Stellantis.
- Set load appointments with customers
- Respond to emails
- Enter loads into our dispatch system
- Update customer load boards
- Dispatch loads with drivers and follow up to make sure drivers are running on time.
- Maintain contact with drivers throughout their shifts and address any routing issues they might have
- Update customers on the status of their deliveries including any delays that may occur
-Load plan drivers on our dedicated freight
Experience Requirements Qualifications include:
- Strong computer skills, data entry is part of the job.
- Knowledge with automotive freight.
- Knowledge with Ryder LMS, Penske, NLM, Active Aero and Stars load boards.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with both drivers and customers in a busy work environment..
- We are looking for a dependable, punctual individual who are committed to showing up to work and someone who will contribute to our team atmosphere along with wanting to be with a growing company.
- Dispatch experience is a must.
- Must have excellent "people skills", including the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of customers and co-workers.
-Must live within 30 mins of Romulus (Detroit Metro Airport)
