Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Job Summary
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, with substantial experience in implementing corrective and preventive action programs, you will be responsible for performing various audits, analyzing quality data, and ensuring compliance with established quality standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide specialized technical expertise to support the Quality program, including inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, and problem-solving tools.
- Analyze quality data to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Perform all types of audits in accordance with Quality Management System (QMS) and Flow processes.
- Follow the Quality Control Plan, Quality Management System, and Flow processes.
- Focus on ensuring a positive customer experience through service quality.
- Create inspection reports detailing the conditions of work areas to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Make recommendations for corrective action.
- Validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution using knowledge of quality systems and tools.
- Maintain a quality standard of products, procedures, and materials within the work scope.
- Align the quality management function with the performance needs of product lines.
- Prepare Nonconformities reports (NCR) and perform follow-up audits on Corrective actions (CAPAs) as per QMS.
- Conduct advanced-level inspections of material received from vendors if needed.
- Conduct in-process and finished product inspections of large or complex projects.
- Track UCO/LOTD projects ensuring compliance with documented procedures and work orders.
- Identify deficiencies in workmanship and initiate and follow up on corrective actions.
- Read and understand detailed drawings, procedures, and internal process documentation.
- Develop quality inspection checklists for processes based on the PWS, latest Technical Data Package (TDP) and Subcontractor Statement of Work (SUB SOW) requirements.
- Interface with project personnel, project management, and customers as a representative of the Quality Department.
- Work professionally and build positive working relationships with internal and external entities.
- Support the team at other sites/countries/TOs if requested (TDY and remotely).
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Must have a Bachelor’s and 2 years of experience. A High School Diploma and an additional 3 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Must have experience with the implementation of corrective and preventive action programs.
- Requires in-depth knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of Quality Management.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio).
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Additional related vocational training.
- Certifications such as ASQ, Lean and Six Sigma, Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar.
