Job Summary
Investigate all events that arise out of the operation of the railroad and other subsidiary entities on an assigned territory.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities
- Respond to and independently investigate all events, regardless of severity, that occur as a result of railroad operations that may involve bodily injuries, death or property damage
- Assess financial exposure and control outcome of events
- Develop event resolution plans and supervise routine litigation
- Enhance the CSXT reputation by promoting our safety culture internally and externally
- Assist employees injured on the job
- Align with other departments to achieve organizational objectives
- Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by managerCoach and/or assist in training less experienced Risk Management professionals
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
- 2 or more years of experience
Equivalent Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 4 or more years of professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
- 4 or more years of experience
Knowledge and Skills
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with CSXT employees, customers, community members and others
- Advanced familiarity with technology
- Strong analytical and decision making skills
- Ability to work independently with limited guidance from manager
